STAATSBURG – Fire Friday afternoon destroyed a garage with extension into a residence a 168 East Fallkill Road in Staatsburg.

The West Clinton Fire Department was assisted by several area departments under mutual aid.

The two-alarm fire consumed the garage and traveled to the residence.

There were no reports of injuries, and the cause is under investigation.
