Siena men's basketball expected to be 'full go' for season opener

Rather than naming official captains, Maciariello announced last Friday the appointment of a leadership council that consists of four players – graduate students Michael Baer, Andrew Platek and Jackson Stormo and fifth-year Jayce Johnson.

Maciariello said he’ll meet with them once or twice a week.

“Just different messaging,” he said. “Talk to them about practice or what I need out of them and then they can kind of get the group going as well. Because you know, we do have a good amount of younger guys and some, obviously, international guys, too, so it’s been working.”
